Celestra is a low-denier polypropylene, spunbond filtration media. It provides excellent filtration efficiencies at high strength. Celestra contains no binders, so there are no potential contaminants to leach out during the filtration process and the filtering area is not limited. It maintains its physical properties when wet, and is dimensionally stable. It is an ideal scrim support for use in composites; for example, a meltblown composite can be formed by blowing the meltblown directly on Celestra.
