AQF Technologies has installed state-of-the-art filter testing capability to help in assessing the performance of our media in demanding air filtration applications.

Dynamic Gas Testing

Filters with AQF® media are designed for real-life situations.  The only representative way a filter's  performance can be evaluated for such conditions is by placing the media or filters into a fluid stream at velocities similar to normal exposure.   Specific gases are then carefully introduced and their concentrations are measured upstream and downstream over time to yield the efficiency and capacity of the filter in a dynamic environment.

At our Charlotte laboratory facility we have the capability to challenge filters with a multitude of gases at various concentrations under a range of conditions to match almost any end-use.  When combined with our knowledge of raw materials, media parameters and filter construction, this allows us to design a specific media and filter configuration to meet the most exacting requirements and then to confirm the performance of this design.

Particulate Filtration Testing

Many filtration applications require the filter media to be efficient at removing both gases and particulates in confined spaces.  To assess the particulate efficiency of AQF® combination media, particulate testing equipment has been installed in our Charlotte Laboratories.  This equipment has the capability to evaluate a variety of filter materials and constructions for fractional efficiency, pressure drop, and dust holding capacity over a wide range of flow rates.
