Typelle is a unique, needlepunched, spunbond filtration media because, unlike other needlefelts, it contains no binders or lubricants. Made of continuous filaments, it sheds less than conventional needlefelts made from short staple fibers. Its medium loft construction allows for excellent entrapment of particles and a longer life; when compared to a spunbond media of the same weight, Typelle shows an improvement in filtration efficiency with a corresponding reduction in pressure drop. Available as a 100 percent polyester or a 100 percent polypropylene media, Typelle can also be engineered as a combination of the two.
