Softex is a family of spunbond media with engineered chemical, physical and surface properties. Alternate polymers are combined in a sheath/core arrangement to offer a wide variety of properties depending on the filtration application. Softex contains no fillers or chemical binders, so the filtering area is not limited and there are none of the potential contaminants associated with these types of materials to leach out during the filtering process.
