BBA Filtration Introduces Superpleat[TM] Filtration Media For Pulse-Jet Dust/Baghouse Applications

BBA Filtration recently added a new filtration media to its product offerings. SuperPleat[TM] is a cartridge filter media designed for use in pulse-jet dust/baghouse filtration. Made of a bonded polyester, SuperPleat is heat resistant to 270°F. It is available in 4, 6 and 8 osy (140, 200 and 270 gsm) weights.

Dust cartridges made of SuperPleat offer several advantages over traditional bag filters. SuperPleat retains sharp pleats, so more filtering area is available in the same space normally taken up by a bag filter. In addition, its polyester trilobal fibers provide additional surface area for greater filtration efficiency. Made of continuous filaments that have a very high internal bond strength, SuperPleat is strong enough to withstand the repeated pulse-jet cycles necessary for cleaning the filter. It has a high Mullen Burst of 200.

In many situations, replacing a bag filter with a SuperPleat cartridge filter means a longer life from your media, which results in fewer change-outs and reduced production interruptions. SuperPleat frequently offers a lower pressure drop, increased abrasion resistance and greater efficiency. A cartridge made with SuperPleat is lightweight and therefore easy to install.
