BBA Nonwovens Integrates Filtration Business In North America

BBA Nonwovens is pleased to announce the integration of its filtration business in North America, effective immediately. This integration will establish the Reemay, former Veratec, and former Fiberweb filtration businesses under a single leadership. Frank Baker, Reemay, Inc.'s Filtration Business Unit Manager, will assume management of the three entities for BBA Nonwovens in North America.

Combining forces in this key growth market will enhance the company's ability to coordinate technical efforts toward the development of new products, improve account management efficiency, and serve customers more effectively by providing a single source for all BBA Nonwovens filtration products. The business currently represents products produced in five plant locations - Lewisburg, PA; Bethune, SC; Washougal, WA; Simpsonville, SC; and Old Hickory, TN.

The following filtration products and technologies are included: Reemay®, 100% Spunbond Polyester; Typar®, 100% Spunbond Polypropylene; Celestra®, 100% Spunbond Polypropylene; Synergex®, 100% Calendered Spunbond Polyester; Typelle®, Polyester Needled Composite; Confil®, Wet Laid; Confil® EFP, Wet Laid (Enhanced Filtration Products); Dryfil®, Carded Web; MasterFlo®, Highloft Gradient Composite (PET); QualiFlo®, Polyester Composite - Engine Filter Media; UltraFlo®, Polypropylene (Spunbond/Meltblown/Spunbond) Composite; MicroCellTM, Reemay® or Typar® Meltblown Composite; StarWebTM, Polyester Adhesive Scrim; and MembackTM, Membrane Support Media.
