Offers Filtration Media Information at Your Fingertips

Welcome to and to our online newsletter. We're pleased you're visiting us and hope you'll check us out regularly. This new website is designed to make it easy for you to gather the information you need about BBA Filtration and the company's converting abilities, services and nonwoven media.

According to BBA Filtration General Manager, David Burge, "In today's global market, having access to information at all times is vital. All too often, web sites fail to provide the knowledge customers need to make informed decisions. Our goal with this web site is to simplify the process of working with BBA Filtration, and we spent much time planning and organizing the layout for optimal use and to ensure important information would be readily available. Eventually, customers may be able to purchase our products through the web site, thereby allowing us to respond more quickly."

Some of the features of the web site include: a home page linking to other web sites of interest to those in the filtration industry; a separate page for each of BBA Filtration's 16 trademarked filtration media; a detailed "search" feature for viewers wanting to determine the best product for a specific use; a Physical Properties section; a Latest News section; a regular online newsletter, which can be received via email; as well as many other features.

Please let us know what you think about our new web site so we can continue to improve.

BBA Filtration Overview

BBA Filtration was organized in October, 1999 from the filtration divisions of three BBA Nonwovens companies, Reemay, Inc. and the former Fiberweb and Veratec. In the months since then, the company has continued to change rapidly.

Reemay® has always been a significant product within filtration, a media whose unparalleled combination of strength, stiffness and uniformity has caused it to be included in numerous filtration end-uses. BBA cannot take full credit for Reemay's success because Snow Filtration discovered many of the uses for Reemay. So in June, 2000, BBA Filtration acquired Snow Filtration to continue and enhance this partnership.

Snow has distributed Reemay, Inc.'s products for more than 25 years, and by combining BBA Filtration's diverse technologies with Snow's strong sales and distribution experience, the belief was that our ability to serve the customer would be maximized by providing a broader product line and single contact for all BBA Filtration media.

The changes continued in October, 2000, when BBA Filtration acquired AQF Technologies; BBA had previously owned 15% of the company. Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, AQF is a technology driven nonwovens company offering high value products designed for niche markets. AQF will function as a technical center, and will focus on value-added filtration products applying its proprietary and patented technologies. AQF is known for its Celbond® Particulate Structures (CPS[TM]) technology which suspends activated carbon or other active particles in a uniform distribution throughout a tightly bonded three dimensional network of bicomponent fibers.

BBA Filtration has become a significant player in the global filtration industry. As we continue to grow and evolve, our intention is to be a leading solutions provider and to ensure our name becomes synonymous with leadership in filtration.
