MemBackTM Wet Laid Membrane Support Media

MemBack is a family of smooth, porous synthetic nonwovens that provide strong high-quality coating substrates for membrane casting for a broad range of membrane applications. MemBack products exhibit controlled pore size and excellent uniformity. Low bubble points and narrow pore size distributions promote excellent coating adhesion while minimizing strike-through, which can cause defects or low flux. Uniform caliper, flatness and excellent surface fiber tie-down create a superior surface that enables defect-free coating with uniform thickness and subsequent high-quality, hole-free membrane casting. High stiffness, strength, flatness and adhesion make MemBack an excellent choice for use as a membrane support in Reverse Osmosis, Nano, Ultra or Micro filtration applications.

The 84 gsm MemBack polyester product meets the criteria of 21 CFR 177-1630 for food contact, in reverse osmosis and other sensitive membrane applications. These products are available in several weights, thicknesses and porosities.
