To quote Jakob Nielsen:
Only 10% of the fortune 500 companies will survive the next 10 years. The rest will shrink to a fraction of their former selves, because they will not make a successful transition to the web economy.
And I am not talking about e-mail or doing research through search engines like Yahoo. Doing business on the internet means much more than this. I am talking about business to business virtual interactions through document exchange, inventory viewing, e-procurements and e-payments. Today growing businesses are leveraging the internet capabilities to enhance customer retention, drive productivity, and ultimately maximize the bottom line.
