| CPS is a platform technology for the
immobilization of functional particles in a three dimensional fibrous structure. The
technology was born out of demanding Chemical Defense applications and patented under US
5,486,410 and many other US and foreign patents. |
|
|
 |
The core technology uses bi-component fibers to build a stable,
robust fibrous structure. The pictures at the left show cross-sections of
bi-component fiber and a clean bond between two fibers. No adhesive is used.
|
Functional particles, such as activated
carbon, zeolites, ion exchange agents, and many others are arranged in a
three-dimensionally spaced configuration within the fibrous structure with controlled,
tortuous void space. Functional particles are secured, yet fully accessible.
Maximum accessibility is optimized with fluid flow through the material. The
pictures at the right show the distribution of particles within the fibrous structure and
the bond between fiber and particle. |

AQF® Media for filters is pleatable yet stiff, and has minimal dust shedding.
CPS Technology excels where space is limited and pressure drop must be minimized.
|
| Many different physical forms, coupled with
multiple active materials provide design flexibility for different applications.
Filters with AQF® media are used for the removal of molecular contamination from fluid
streams. Core technology is also combined with other materials to provide
multi-functionality. You can get a first hand look at current and developmental
applications in Our Products. |
